Lost Mojo

In a slump. Can't seem to shake it. Feels like anxious ennui if that makes any sense. Debilitating. Painful.

But "slumps are for chumps" so think I'll have a beer and a grilled cheese sandwich while I watch a re-run of Monk... and then hit the streets.

The good thing about slumps is that when one bounces back, everything seems to be operating at a much higher level than before the slump. I think slumps are like sleeping, nature's way of making us step back and absorb what we've been doing.

The other good thing about slumps is that, in my experience, they seem to get shorter with every one. My first slump was for around 10 years. Next one about a year. Now, if I don't take photos for a couple of days I feel as if I've been through a slump.

Yeah, and next thing you know you're a manic-depressive.. and have to lug around a jug of Lithium in your beer-bag cum camera-bag.
